in a ballet of green grass blades
sighs at the ghostlike glimmer
of the glistening dew
The madly munching rabbit
dines on salad days
as cabbage and carrots
lie in rich black dirt
Rabbit riddled with whim
and intent questioning
a pause -- before it jumps.
